epulon

Epulon

Pelinkovac "Epulon" is named after Epulon, king of Hystra, who fiercely defended the freedom of his people against the supremacy of the army of ancient Rome, and when there was no way out, rather killed himself with his own sword rather than agree to slavery. Epulon is the spirit of freedom dissolved in a glass, and it is drunk for the fullness of life worth fighting for. The aroma is dominated by wormwood, followed by vanilla, caramel and citrus notes. The harsh bitterness of wormwood is finely balanced with soothing notes of citrus, anise, vanilla and caramel. It ends with an intriguingly unexplained, bittersweet and lingering aftertaste. The recommended serving temperature is 8-10 °C. It is served chilled and neat or with ice, with orange or lemon zest. It goes well in combination with dried fruit or as a digestif after a large meal.

Erba Luigia

Erba Luigia of the Rossi family is a traditionally produced Istrian spirit from quadruple-distilled Istrian malvasia pomace enriched with the maceration of lemon verbena (Lippia citriodora) leaves. It has a clear light green color, fresh and lively. Its aroma is impressive, dominated by lime, lemon leaves and other citrus fruits, dry and warm on the palate with a rounded and long finish. The recommended serving temperature is 8-10 °C. It is served chilled and clean, without ice. It goes well alone or traditionally in combination with an asparagus frittata.

Medenica

Medenica of the Rossi family is a traditionally produced Istrian spirit from quadruple-distilled Istrian Malvasia pomace brandy enriched with fine floral honey. It is characterized by the golden color of honey and a dense structure that slowly slides down the glass. On the nose, notes of sweet chestnut and meadow flowers. Sweetness dominates the palate, ending with a fine, elegant and rounded aftertaste. The recommended serving temperature is 8-10 °C. It is served chilled and clean, without ice. It goes well alone or in combination with desserts and sweet and spicy dishes.

Nostromo Gin

The warmth and richness of flavor immediately reveal the superb varietal character of this gin. The typical blueberry aroma is accompanied by coriander and orange peel, a Mediterranean note of rosemary and dried flowers, and traces of licorice and anise. Eightfold distilled malvasia gives this gin that special, subtle touch of Istria, while pleasant bitterness with an undertone of star anise rounds off its specific, long-lasting aftertaste. The recommended serving temperature is 8-10°C. It is served chilled and neat, or with the best tonics in combination with rosemary, orange peel or 2-3 blueberries, or with orange marmalade and lime juice. It goes well alone or with grilled shrimp, oysters, various meat dishes, hummus, figs, prosciutto or salmon.

Amaro

Amaro Istriano by the Rossi family is a fine digestif, made according to the rich recipe of old Italian Amaro bitter liqueurs. A well-balanced aroma imbued with aromas of berries, herbs and roots, with a citrus finish, on a taste reminiscent of green walnut, almond, gentian, Mediterranean herbs and roots. A long and fine finish characterizes the liqueur with an elegant citrus bittersweet aftertaste. The recommended serving temperature is 8-10 °C. It is served chilled and neat or with ice and orange peel. It goes well in combination with dried fruit or as a digestif after a large meal.

Biska

Biska of the Rossi family is a traditional Istrian spirit produced from quadruple distilled brandy made from pomace of Istrian Malvasia enriched with maceration of mistletoe leaves (Viscum album). It is characterized by a deep caramel color. Intense aroma dominated by notes of honey, cherries in chocolate and some herbal and grassy notes, it is clear and dense. The taste is slightly sweet, elegant, warm, gentle and rounded. The recommended serving temperature is 10-12 °C. It is served chilled and clean, without ice. It goes well alone or with aged cheeses and red meat. At room temperature, it goes perfectly with premium cigars.

Teranino

Teranino of the Rossi family is a fine liqueur produced from the autochthonous Istrian teran variety, enriched with forest fruit maceration and selected spices. On the nose and palate, this enhanced wine is imbued with notes of blueberry, wild and citrus fruits with a light sweet aftertaste of cinnamon and cloves. A very light liqueur that is easy to drink. The recommended serving temperature is 10-12°C. It is served chilled and clean, without ice. It goes well in combination with chocolate desserts or forest fruit desserts or as a digestif after a hearty meal.

Travarica

Travarica of the Rossi family is a traditionally produced Istrian spirit made from four times distilled Istrian malvasia pomace brandy enriched with the maceration of 15 Mediterranean aromatic herbs. It was aged for 6 months in barrique barrels. Warm yellow color with golden shimmer and fine density. On the nose it reminds of walnut, almonds, hazelnuts and sage. The taste is dry, warm and slightly astringent with an intense and long, slightly bitter finish. The recommended serving temperature is 10-12 °C. It is served chilled and clean, without ice. It goes well alone or with ratatouille and other dishes made of boiled or roasted vegetables.

Šovran

The limited edition of Šovran - Istrian brandy XO by the Rossi family is the first domestic XO (extra old) special brandy from the indigenous teran, produced in the tradition of the best French cognacs. After quadruple distillation, the fermented must from the finest teran grapes is aged for ten years in barrique barrels made of French oak, which are used in the production of the most prestigious French cognacs. Due to its top quality and long production process, it proudly bears the name Šovran - the Istrian term for sovereign, ruler, king. Recommended serving is at room temperature. It should be served neat, without ice. It goes well alone or in combination with dark chocolate and/or premium cigars. Shovran comes in a handmade premium box.

Yellow muscat

Muscat yellow of the Rossy family is a traditionally produced Istrian grape brandy from selected must of the finest yellow muscat. Distilled four times to obtain its intense richness and elegance of taste with crystal clarity and transparency. The richness of the varietal aroma of muscat is accompanied by notes of meadow flowers, pear and apple. Steady and harmonious on the nose. Dry, soft and warm on the palate, with a long finish. The recommended serving temperature is 8-10 °C. It is served chilled and clean, without ice. It goes well alone or in combination with fish salads.
